Haha! Thats great 😄 Its a fairly low resolution image. It's a crop from the larger pic and then down sized file for socials. Still good enough quality to see the details though! 🪲🌿📸💚

With it being a mild October, we're still seeing Dragonflies about. This Common darter was having a rest and allowed me to get a nice side view...

A macro photo of two poisonous mushrooms; if eaten they can cause serious health risks or be lethal. Their stems are white, their caps are red with white spots.

Yes they're incredibly fast. They're often on the Moor when I'm walking. Apparently if they were human sized they would get up to 800mph! 🤯🙌🏻🏃‍♀️💨🪲💚

Haha! No not at all. My class today is looking at adaptations of animals and part of it is for them to guess whether invertebrates or vertebrates are the most numerous. They're always astounded to see that invertebrates make up around 97% of all animals on the planet 🤯😄🪲🌎💚

Crickey! How many did you have!? 🍻💚😄

Bugs are the best. I'll always be posting about wildlife and invertebrates in particular (as they're my thing 😄). They're incredibly important. Each one perfectly adapted to their job. Their jobs incredibly important to the network of life 🙌🏻🕷🪲🌿💚 (plus they look amazing!)

#wildlifewednesday or #wildwednesday, either way, check out the mandibles on this beast! The green tiger beetle, found on our moorland, is a formidable hunter. This beauty flew in to my garden, got tangled on a spiders web, snipped the pursuing spider in two and then fell onto my table 🤯🙌🏻💚

Oooh nice! That's got me craving a beer and a view now 🙌🏻😄🍺🌄💚

Beautiful. I love the burnets. I didn't see many this year - wrong place, wrong time 😄💚

Dragonfly resting on a gorse bush. The wings are in focus and take much of the picture. The body and head of the Dragonfly are on the left.
