Put education first.
Just watch how fast that 6% gets up to the usual 33% if FOX et. al. get on board with promoting the American takeover of Venezuela.

I'm not sure if it is more astonishing that Fetterman could be this stupid, or that the Democratic party got on board with making him a senator.

^ This is the answer.

Maybe the surprised Venezuelans should go and talk to the equally surprised Hispanic voters in Florida who are seeing family members deported after voting for Trump because they didn't bother listening to what he said he was going to do. Or the red state voters who will lose their health care.

This began in earnest with Limbaugh et. al. and FOX well before Bush (W) was elected. It has metastasized, but social media is nothing more than a new delivery system for the same well funded effort that brought us the Federalist Society.

Fair enough. But aren't a number of the most prominent architects of the GOP led destruction of our country graduates of Yale and Harvard?

This is such a meaningless statement that the only possible response is that you have absolutely no grasp whatsoever on the concept of a series (of events).

Amazing how many people, regardless of their number of rodeos, don't grasp that the problem cannot be solved with any state-based real estate planning. We have a national income crisis. Most people are broke. The solution is in the tax code, not "affordability" BS.

The modern billionaire class buys media outlets to kill them or pervert them, not to make money. CBS News is but a loss leader for Ellison.

Is it a slur to call someone an asshole? Because these days you simply cannot be a Republican without being an asshole. Look at what the party does, says, believes, and how it acts and talks. There's no getting around it; only an asshole would choose to be a Republican, slur or not.
December 25, 2025 at 12:03 AM
Not really. The GOP has zero interest in communicating its actual policies to its voters, because it hurts about 90% of them. They just want the voters to vote GOP, period -- the policies are not intended to benefit anyone other than select interests.

The Democrats simply can't message.

This^^^^^ is critical.

Sorry, but Mike Johnson is going to be thrilled when the ACA extension is passed, as will every other Republican in both houses. They will take credit for it with their voters, who will believe them, and yet can tell their bosses who own them that they did everything they could to prevent it.

If the ACA subsidies get extended, it will save & improve many lives in the short run.

If the ACA subsidies do not get extended, the Democrats will have a much better shot at winning both the house and senate, sooner, and 2028 is an opportunity for generational reform.

Which is more important?
