Folks across the country and political spectrum rely on S8 for long-term affordable housing. Without it, ppl will be forced out of their homes and communities. Some will be sent into the shelter system, which is more costly on its face, not including the health, education, and employment impacts.

Headstart is an incredibly effective and impactful program. Proposed cuts to it have nothing to do with efficiency and everything to do with racism, classism, and cruelty.
