Oh, for sure. It's mostly residual hate for the gift giver, in my case. Sibling, parent, aunt, if they heard I got a gift it was "oh, so they DO have money" Or "that's not something you needed. Why didn't they get you X?" If the gift was too small-- monetarily or in size they were being miserly etc.
