Capturing the beauty of wildlife and the magic of nature, one frame at a time. Through our lens, every moment becomes a story
This little beauty is wearing some ankle jewelry. lol He has been banded. The Red-headed woodpecker is a species of concern so there is an ongoing effort to research them.

How fantastic to have the shade of your Mom's wings during a heat wave! It's not often you see an Osprey nest with 3 babies.

When his fly over is so close he doesn't fit in your lens LOL
This was a very odd situation. Dad came in with a fish, then left with the fish, came back with it and then left with it again. Maybe no one was hungry? Who knows, but usually fish comes in headless and Mom & babies are very grateful.

When this Bald Eagle thought he'd steal an easy fish meal from the Osprey, it met it's match. Between the 3 other Osprey that joined in the battle, this eagle was left upside down after being dive bombed! It did eventually give up but not without a 20 minute battle in the sky. WOW!!

When a bird flies past and you don't immediately recognize it and swing your camera quickly to capture it only to realize its a Red Winged Blackbird LOL, nice, but certainly not unique!

We're headed back to one of our favourite camping/photography areas. Can't wait to see what's waiting for us this time. Here's a throwback to one of our past trips.

We have some fabulous owlet photos so far but this might go down as my most favourite ever!

Great Horned Owlet takes his/her first step into independence and steps out of the nest. Baby number 2 was quite content to have the nest to itself and snuggled right in to sleep lol Shot with a 500mm lens and cropped.

Maybe this beautiful Mute Swan is taking a moment of self reflection? Something we could all do a little more of.

Or maybe he's just looking for lunch. 🤔
