We, as patients, can help by reducing the demands on our GPs by managing our own health problems sensibly and only seek help when it is necessary. When we had stronger family units Granny, with lots of experience of dealing with minor ailments was the first port of call 😩. Alas, no longer.

@UKDHC has developed an on-line Assessment Tool to help evaluate their Digital Skills and a series of “Bite-sized on line training packages” aimed at improving their Digital Competency. See - ukdhc.info/course/ukdhc... It is all free of charge.

@erictopol.bsky.social mis and dis-information is challenging. It would be good to improve the peer review of our medical journals and address the problems created by predatory journals. How do you recommend we can do that?

A really valuable and true comment on this ongoing discussion. We have seen evidence of the problems created by misinformation during the COVID pandemic and we need to guard against further misinformation being spread in the future.

I trained myself in Basic in 1983. It was easier than Fortran 4 that I taught myself in 1978 and Machine Code that I also used in 1983. These were the days!
