in the end i dont know what to say in those situations besides "why?" because eliminating that kind of talk is healthiest....but i dont know how to word things in a way that doesnt talk down to them or come off as mean.

but this is talking specifically about drawing/dev/creativity, seeing your ability as justification for your existence... "my drawing is so bad compared to everyone's, i should just quit" and repeating it in front of the same people who actually look up to you
