The Asian giant hornet - known as the "murder hornet" - has been eradicated in Washington and the U.S.

Congrats to the WA Dept. of Agriculture for effectively eliminating the invasive pest.

Key to eradication was technology that allowed them to track a hornet back to a nest to eliminate it.

The problem is not a failure of science. The problem is political misuse of science... We need a more dynamic approach that learns and adjusts, improving through trial and error. There is already a model for this approach: traditional, indigenous knowledge.
