It's genuinely sad. I want people to learn! I want them to truly realize when they've erred, and to do better thereafter. It's one reason I sought counseling myself: to change. But you have to actually feel the disappointment in yourself to do that and change. Not displace it. Actually feel it.

The backtracking in the screenshots makes it clear his apologies cannot be trusted: he still thinks he's the victim, and anyone who claims to have been hurt or disrespected by him is the true villain. Disappointing to see such stereotypical splitting and guilt displacement from a counselor-to-be!

I truly believe that people can learn from their mistakes and move on as better people, right. But this backtracking makes it very clear he has only ever apologized to get people to leave him alone, and he doesn't actually believe he did anything wrong.
