The article has a good purpose.

However none of these definitions echo our 2004 definition in the context of CBT, nor the sense in which we use PCT for universal ‘transdiagnostic’ principles.

We go ‘beyond’ any subgrouping & apply universal principles within each individual, dynamically.

Feedback loops are the process with which we can update someone's mental models and intuition. Both game design and Perceptual Control Theory discuss this in the context of behavior in similar ways.
