Crone, woman of wisdom, warrior. Time traveler. Kindness is my superpower, but don't mistake kindness for weakness. Equality for all.
Christmas Day, significant for the power of light overcoming darkness. Wishing you a day filled with joyful light, and for those currently suffering in the darkness of a cruel world, hold onto hope. There are many working to release you. Wishing you the courage to work for a peaceful world for all.

Happy Pride Month!!!
My father was gay, I have gay friends, I know several trans people and I can 💯 say that they are all human beings. No better, no worse than any normal (non-MAGA) person. Live and let live, love and let love!

I'm a child of the 50's, a Baby Boomer, and for most of my life I considered myself blessed to be an American. World travel helped to open my eyes to the ways we were falling behind other developed countries, but it is this election that made me realize that we are a nation of racists and haters.

Don't make me feel like I am screaming into the void! Tell me what you are doing to fight back! I call, email, and mail my strong opinions to my Senators and Representative. I attend in person and virtual town halls and I march and protest. Time for me to get out the torch and pitchfork.

I am not a Catholic, but I held love and respect for Pope Francis. He understood what Jesus would do. A man of faith and loving spirit, may he be at peace.

Our government is really trying to kill us!

An historic day. Thank you to the MILLIONS of American that peacefully took to the streets. This is just the beginning.
Keep contacting your Senators and Representatives. Keep the pressure on. We're not bending over, we are standing up. We will not be silenced, we will be loud.

These are dark days for many Americans. But we can be the light. Be kind, be helpful. Look for beauty, give a compliment, pay it forward.
There are more good people than bad. Do what you are able to fight for what is right and to care for others. Don't forget to care for yourself.
Find love!

Black History is American History. Knowledge is power. Get to know and appreciate our fellow humans, no matter the color of their skin.

If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend reading "Our Missing Hearts" by Celeste Ng. A very timely novel.

Today would have been my brother's 61st birthday. An auto accident when he was 20 left him severely brain damaged and blind in one eye. He lived the next 20 years in a nursing home, unable to care for himself or talk. He was a shining light to everyone that interacted with him.
Love lives forever.

In honor of President Carter today I will think and do good. This man had strong principals and didn't let anything knock him down. I proudly voted for him and sobbed when Reagan was elected.
Time is a patient judge, and it is clear that Jimmy was a living example of his faith.

Happy New Year day two.
Finishing up putting holiday decor away. I really need to simplify next year. Each year I do less but it still is a project.
Watched Mummers Parade yesterday, a long standing tradition.

Rough road to recovery. When I feel on 12/1 I fractured three metacarpals in my left hand. One of them rather severely. Scheduled for surgery on all three this Thursday. Looking forward to being on the healing side of the injury, instead of the purgatory I am currently in.

Here is what I was carrying when I tumbled yesterday. Our tomato plants are still producing but frost has killed the vines. Lots of green tomatoes!

Monday musings:
Since 2020 each year I sustained an injury. 2020: concussion/fractured skull. 2021 broken right hand, 2022 broken left hand, 2023 broken left foot. I almost made it through 2024 unscathed but yesterday I broke my last hand. All were stupid accidents. So now I slow down and adapt.
