On July 7, 1940, 80 yrs ago, Warren Alvin Duffy, age 17, enlisted in the NB Rangers. Born in Pubnico, Yarmouth Co NS.

✈️ By Nov, he joined the RCAF, & went on to fly 33 combat sorties overseas & earn the DFC with 617 RAF Squadron. Read his story @ bit.ly/2FKuRwi

Embedded in the stone gatepost of the Upper Rawdon Cemetery in rural Kings County, NS is a plaque honouring 20-yr-old Pte Carl R Bond. He is not interred there but buried at Holten Cdn War Cemetery, Netherlands. Carl was wounded for the 2nd time 80 yrs ago on Feb 18, 1945. Story @ bit.ly/2KjhANc
