Lets say a REALLY good OS comes out. No one is going to use it because none of the software we use today works on it. No one will develop software for it because there is no users on the OS. Its the same issue that Linux has.

Eh it is less that they offer superior software and support. More that they got an early lead on the competition and now there is not really a point to making a competing operating system.

Love the concept of linux and would love to daily drive it however when a good chunk of my games don't work on linux or have performance issues no point in me using it. Then they say to just dual boot. Why would I bother dual booting when everything linux can do for me I can do in Windows?
