I was working on the PHX Zine Fest volunteer schedule today and it was making me so happy to see so many returning and new faces! We have a huge group of volunteers and I'm so thankful! Can't wait for fest!

We're hosting a prep marathon at the print studio next week and it's one of my fav events leading up to zine fest! The energy is high and we're all buzzing making zines together!

23 folks came out and made monster paper puppets courtesy of SATURNHEX and put their collaged fears into the anonymous fear box courtesy of Shut Eye Press to be turned into a zine! Thanks for joining us! 🎉

Could not have pulled it all off without the team pulling it off by sending in the content, folding hundreds of zines with me, problem solving, running the shop, and organizing PZF. It's really cool to be in step together in different ways :)

This weekend: layout 2 zines, print and assemble over 400 zines, provide two presentations: one on zine history at a zine launch party and the other on online security and doxxing, submit a grant, publish a blog and newsletter, ship orders, and launch social promo for PHX Zine Fest! Yayy

We're about to host our 9th PHX Zine Fest & the distro is turning TEN YEARS OLD in December.

It's been an incredibly challenging year for a ton of reasons & yet, it's been one of those years where things have felt like they've really clicked and great folks are present with us.

I'm so thankful!

- went on an AZ zine tour at NOAZ Book Fair, TZF, and the inaugural Bisbee Zine Fest
- tabling our fav big markets like Grand Ave Fest and Dusk Market (more deets soon)
- work with three local big publications including AZRWW, LOOKOUT, and ENVY
- and we're about to launch 2 state-wide zine projects
