Oh Sean, Sean, Sean. There were plenty of lads like that in Hartlepool in the 1970s, but they had an excuse : it was the 1970s.

Not sure I could manage a bowl of soup on a pub crawl. But I do recognise your far greater experience in such matters.

Interesting facade on the Wimpy in the modern pic. The upper floors are squared off to look Georgian, but from this angle it looks more like a film set from a Western, with a frontage but nothing behind it. Must have walked past the Wimpy a thousand times over the decades, but never noticed this.

Interesting about the Burning Sky Plateau. Me I'd drop the 0.1% pop some more hops in and plan what to do with the tax saved.

Things is, if they've lost your old records, how does your providing your old statements etc, actually *prove* anything, as they're entirely reliant on what you supply? They've got no way of cross checking the information you send to them. It's kafkaesque!

Well I think I've been in touch with all 9 of the feckers over the past several months.

I'm only just sorted with the issue preventing me being able to get in and pay my beer duty, which I started chasing them about in March. I'm wondering just how much their staff numbers have been cut due to reduced income from giving the big breweries their big beer duty tax cuts.

Btw cook up some belly pork, cool it and fridge it overnight. Then next day cut it up intonthin slices, stir fry with soy sauce and oyster sauce etc. Yummy.

Evidently Bill Gates bought 3% of Heineken. So we're taking money from our public services to give him better returns on his shareholdings.

Looks lovely but the wife would have me sleeping in the spare room cos of the consequent fruity fluff fluffs.

20mins later I finally get the call back. Matey on the phone apologises for taking so long, as they've had so many calls to deal with. Busted.
