For the ‘everything in Australia wants to kill you’ crowd: attack hydrant.
A metal fire hydrant with a red sign that says ‘Attack Hydrant’, all nestled among tropical green foliage. I dunno, it probably makes perfect sense if you’re a firefighter.

Today’s Sovereignty Day March in Boorloo was sizeable but somber. This always was and always will be Noongar Country. #alwayswasalwayswillbe

Everyone raises their right hand in a fist. Someone raises a handpainted sign that says ‘Land Back’. You know it’s Boorloo, because the bizarre like green sculpture known as the Cactus is in the background. Protest photo, we can see the back of people’s heads. In the centre someone holds a hand painted sign of the Aboriginal Flag, around the central yellow circle are the words ‘No Pride in Genocide’. This time more of the Cactus is in focus in the background, it’s somewhere between lime & Kermit Green, no one fully understands it. Protest photo: marching down the mall, trees & decorations for Lunar New Year line the sides. We can see people’s backs, the crowd extends further than we can see. Protest signs include Invasion Day, Always Was Always Will Be, and From the Land to the Sea (the reverse of the sign says From the River to the Sea, but we can’t see that in this image).

Stopped off on the way to work to mark the last day I will have to commute on this crappy footpath over the bridge. Our new pedestrian & cyclist bridge is opening this weekend!
