it's honestly not that big a shock to me that a lot of Toby's music takes heavy inspiration from SFC RPGs and stuff like RPG Maker considering his magnum opus was heavily inspired by Gadobadorrer from Brandish 2 (not to mention Kris's dark world design resembling Ares/Varik)
