Better to have a plan for the worst case scenario and never need it than to have the worst case scenario happen and be completely unprepared. /End

Research where you could park and sleep safely (and legally) overnight, where you could park legally/safely during the day, how to improve your car’s security, and where you could go to shower and do laundry. 7/

Try packing up your car with your stuff to see what fits and what doesn’t. Think about the need for space to sleep (especially if you have kids), what to do about pets, how to handle waste, how you would store/prepare food, etc. 6/

Start downsizing belongings sooner rather than later if needed. Know what things you’d need and want to keep and take with you if you had to escape a natural disaster or if you got evicted. Keep those things organized and easy to access at all times. 5/

If your car is in excellent condition, and if you plan now what to do if SHTF and you had to live out of said car, you will be less vulnerable if financial shit escalated for you, whether expectedly or unexpectedly. 4/

A car can be the difference between ending up homeless on the street vs being homeless in a car that provides some shelter. With that in mind . . . 3/
