Some good old fashioned FUD from Mazda. They claim - with no supporting evidence - that EVs are not that clean and then go on to spruik biofuels and synthetic fuels. FFS are we still putting up with this nonsense in 2025?

Amazing story this. Amazing because there isn't a single mention of the impact of decades of oil and gas rigs, or centuries of shipping. Not even a passing reference to piers and jetties. Just wind turbines. Incredible.

People love to tell me solar doesn't work, or when I talk about running my car for almost free "but what about the upfront cost of your solar". My solar coat $7k 6 years ago and has generated 56MWh. Think of the cost you pay per unit and do the maths. It's worth it.

Looks like it was $30 in my case and I don't see it in the account. It was so long ago it would be hard to track. I can only assume I got it back at some point.

What car did you have? Most EVs have chargers in the GPS and they tell you the best one to use. My car also knows (mostly) which chargers are in use or broken, and will divert to a working one.
Melbourne is absolutely loaded with chargers.

When people tell me "but the infrastructure" I show them this. This shows only the rapid chargers, not including Tesla Superchargers and not including slower AC chargers. Unless you live in the middle of the desert, it really isn't a problem.
