I am not a leader or follower, but I will go first and blaze a trail for those that chose to follow.

Major Interest is outdoor and in-home vegetable container gardening.

Secondary interest is family genealogy using Family Search & Find A Grave.

In today's world, the word 'undertaker' would send most scrambling for a dictionary.

With our fancy modern day funeral homes & funerals, it's almost unbelievable that in yesteryear things were quite different.
My great grandfather was buried by a hardware & lumber store.🤔

Judy and I are common country folks with a small house and simple furniture.

Even without a lot of fancy trimmings, I thought she set a pretty table for our daughter and son-in-law that joined us for Christmas dinner.

Once-upon-a-time, J C Penny had 2,053 stores. Now, as of November 2023, they have only 663.
Fewer stores, yes, but still brave enough to say Christmas instead of the milquetoast (meaning easily intimidated) stores with their wimpy happy holidays.

So, what to do when the gas cooking stove decides on it's on, after 20 years of service, to die & it's replacement won't arrive in 3 days.🤔

Ahhh simple. Throw away the grates on the old cook stove. Get out the electric griddle, put in on top of the retired stove and....

Keep On Cooking....!!

Tuesday Morning, 2023 November 14, here in the mountains of western North Carolina, the weather is wonderful.

Slight chill in the breeze, warning us that winter is knocking at the door.

Lot of sun. No rain forecasted. High expected to be 64.

Good day to use my lawnmower to mulch the leaves.
