Watching Morning Joe do their new on-air Trumpian grovel in the last 3 days reminds me of the Vicar of Bray, a 16th century Anglican cleric who was successively a Catholic, a Protestant, a Catholic again, and then a Protestant in order to retain his position in the Church of England.
