Scarlet elf cups actively shoot their spores into the air, rather than dropping them through pores or gills. Today’s challenge was to see if I could get one to release its spores by holding it up to the wind. I waited and eventually was rewarded by the tiny spores being ejected into the air. ✨🍄✨
