I hear you, but if youre ever looking for some good modern Southern Noir, I've been flying through King Of Ashes by S A Cosby, it has that same feeling of "problems are coming in from every possible angle, how can they possibly escape?" that I love in Dresden books.

I picked up Dresden in college, I absolutely flew through it, so i will definitely read it soon. But I also said that I would broaden my horizons this year, so I need to read stuff outside the usual urban fantasy/litrpg pool ive been in lately.
