I haven't been experiencing it myself while using a Mac + Firefox. Notifications still working like normal there, at least. Is this on desktop or phone?

That's rather disappointing. I thought Apple figured out the keyboard issues after the disastrous butterfly designs. Any idea what may be causing the repeated keyboard failures?

I guess I'll never buy a Kindle now. I already have to get around AI stuff on my new phone. I wonder if a complete factory reset of your old Kindle could help fix the bugs? All devices do need such a reset every couple years since all those updates, downloads, etc can really clutter up the device.

I'm doing good, staying warm and cozy on a very cold weekend. 😊

...well, most Windows systems. I don't think this will work for anything before Windows 2000. Maybe they could add in Windows 98 updates in the future?

Never had Runza, and the only location in my state, SD, is in Yankton. Dunno when I'll give it a try sometime, but it's on my bucket list. Perhaps they'll expand to more SD towns, but it appears franchisees are more interesting in buidling more Culver's locations than any additional Runzas.

My EcoTank is an ET-2760, and I've had it for a few years. Other than the mentioned print head cleaning, it's worked very well and still does. It can print with USB or Wifi, though I prefer the former.

I recommend an Epson EcoTank. They cost much more upfront, but the ink tanks can last a long while between refills. The only big downside I can think of is you need to print with it regularly, or else the print heads will dry up and require a cleaning cycle. They also have a scanner/copier too.

What are the issues you are currently having with your regular printer?

Good night! 😊

I think it will be very hard for me to ditch Meta completely. I still regularly converse with artists on Insta, while FB keeps me connected with real-life people I know. I'm also not exposed to nearly as much toxicity than with the bird app. It helps to use a computer web browser with an ad-blocker.

Don't let the number of likes or interactions discourage you. There ARE people out there who care about your art. Sometimes they may not leave a like or comment, but your art is being seen. If you need to take a break, you can. There is nothing wrong with taking a social media break to re-focus.
December 11, 2025 at 2:50 AM
..but it's a long ways out. This is coming from the guy who took ages to get off the wretched bird app, but so far, I'm not being inundated with garbage. Just ads. Ads for businesses that are several states away. 🤨 And the occasional book ad.

The artists I follow there still post rather frequently, possibly because they are trying to stay ahead of the algo. It also doesn't help when some illustrators host livestream interviews with other artists exclusively on IG, only posting them to YouTube later on. The day will come when I'll leave..
December 10, 2025 at 7:20 PM
I don't think so. Since the main feed is in chronological order, your posts may end up getting buried if a person follows a whole bunch of artists here that post often. I think you may want to research what hashtags other artists use, which could help get your art into more feeds.

What movie is on the laptop screen?

While MeTV Toons isn't as widespread as it's parent channel MeTV, the channel is a hit with it's target audience, along with the potential of introducing newer audiences to real cartoon classics. It's too early to say if my fears will be realized, but I'll have to keep a sharp eye on this.
December 5, 2025 at 4:26 PM
I'm more concerned as to how this will affect the MeTV Toons broadcast network. WB archive content like Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera make up the majority of it's schedule. If Netflix doesn't want any part of "legacy media", then who is to say they will pull out of the network's partnership?

How about "physical" games that are nothing more than just a code or digital key to download the game off the online shop. (Looking at you Nintendo most of all)

What model of tablet do you draw on? By the way the clock looks at the top, it seems to be an Android tablet of some kind? (Samsung?)
