My American self is still scared when I see cops over here in Australia. I automatically think they’re trying to arrest me or cause trouble and they’re so friendly. Man I hate that my brain has been accustomed to the fear of the United States.

I sit here in horror everyday, as I watch the atrocities plaguing the great United States. I left because I no longer felt safe, and so many can’t do that, and I want to make sure I am a part (even a small part) of the group defending what’s left of the great nation I grew up in. We must stand firm.

I am here, because I heard this is where people go who need safe updates regarding the chaos in America. I’m in Australia as an expat but still want to keep up to date as I am an American citizen.
