I know hall of fame voting was just released and these stat lists are highlighting Beltran and Jones, but when I saw "SB%" at the beginning of this post I fully expected Josh Naylor to be on the list.

Oberlin being listed as a "non-major" is recency bias....they beat Purdue that year.

Now batting, for Pedro Borbon, Manny Mota....Mota.....Mota

I mean, I grew up in the Midwest...but......"pop"?

I have never seen a fan base so incredibly ecstatic about every step along the way. It's beautiful.

Really miss that station

To be fair to Flacco, he absolutely balled out for Cincy. With even a semi-competent defense, they would have been in playoff contention.

Sooooo annoying

It absolutely does. In fact, it's the very first tiebreaker.

Nissan and Dr. Pepper collaborated on that ad, so yes.

Relatedly, the comedic timing from Sanders in that crossover ad is great.

Yes, $4T in annual expenses....BUT.....about $1.6T is already covered by Medicare and Medicaid, so the gap is really $2.4T.

Any guesses at how much Americans and their employers pay in health insurance premiums per year?

Flacco's 470 yard / 4TD performance against the number 2 seed in the NFC at least keeps that "best over 40" showing a little close
December 23, 2025 at 6:43 PM
Same story with the Bengals and Flacco earlier this season....Flacco played great but the back-to-back losses to the Jets and Bears killed their season.

Some absolute gems in that '76 set and this is one of them

A few teams in conferences have also declined bowl games this year, so yes, they would be allowed to turn down a bowl if they were in a conference.

I was thinking you might go with Randall Cunningham

And here I am thinking this is the original Joe Black

Thanks once again for a prompt to go research someone I hadn't heard of before. And amazing Olympic career, and a nice side trip into former Olympic races (Olympic cross country?).

With the losses piling up for the Bengals, I like watching players climb the Bengals career stats leaderboards. 2 wks ago, Flacco was 26th on the Bengals list with 784 passing yds; his 470 yds moved him up to 19th, passing Scott Mitchell, AJ McCarron, Jeff Driskel, & Jay Schreader among others.

With a decent game this weekend, Prescott can pass both Romo and Steve DeBerg to get to 40th on the NFL's all time passing yards list.

And he'll still be 26 spots behind Flacco.

Right! I tell my kids all the time - I don't remember the races, or the places, but I absolutely remember the team bus rides home after a win, and spending time with my teammates. Those are the important memories.
