I didn't live in a home with central heating until 1989, then we moved and no central heating again until we installed it a year or so later. In fact every time we moved we had to put in heating until 2010. Now we have underfloor heating. It's utter bliss.

This probably explains his presence. Nobody from the US govt wants to hear anything from Europe. It is just waiting for the right moment to let Putin annexe the whole continent.

If you want money then it is important that there is more info about the recipient, how the money will be protected and more detail about how it will be spent. If she is a Muslim mentioning Christmas seems irrelevant, specific dates might put her predicament into a clearer context. Is this genuine.

It will end with a vast reduction in visitor numbers. Even if I wanted to I couldn't provide this info. I don't want to provide it, so can think of no reason to visit the USA until a more sane president is in power.

When it comes to right wing regimes history teaches us that appeasement has not worked and is unlikely to do so now. Don't appease but ostracise. Cancel all future USA state visits. Build trade and defence relations with our real allies in Europe. Grow a spine Sir Keir earn your right to that title.

How does the American Jewish community feel about this? If Australian Jews are feeling insecure American Jews must be queuing up to emigrate! I thought Am presidents were on the side of Israel and the Jewish community. I can't think when I was last more shocked and horrified.

I wouldn't visit America if you paid me but if I wanted to I just don't have that info. How would anyone know who you had phoned/emailed in the last 5 yrs? I think providing some of that info would be breaching our GDPR laws. Crazy stuff. The harm it will do to businesses.

Apart from anything else who (apart from Elon Musk et al) can afford as many books fiction and non-fiction as those available in a library? Of course they also need the skilled, educated, trained librarian to guide them if required.

As a librarian I would be very unhappy if libraries were only for those who can't afford books. No, they are for everybody to read, learn and enjoy.
