I was laughing and crying alongside the characters as if I was a part of the crew and I felt genuine care and fear for them like they were my actual friends. And the JOURNEY that the protagonist went through! The difficult emotions, like hate, self-doubt and grief are tackled so beautifully. An extremely powerful read.' text of quote: '"From the river to the sea" is a call for Palestinian liberation. I echo it here as a prayer for all colonized, enslaved, and oppressed peoples... Read both The Vegetarian and Holy Mother by Rikako Akiyoshi today and I'm just sitting here like
