This executive order basically criminalizing homelessness is vile and disgusting. @brittanyepage.bsky.social breaks it down for us.

Claudia Tenney voted to pass the Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill for Billionaires.

Her vote strips health insurance from 30,716 of her OWN constituents.

She chose Donald Trump and the ultra wealthy over her own constituents.

I was looking up "A Return to Common Sense: How to Fix America Before We Really Blow It" by @politicsgirl.bsky.social on my local library website. On suggestions of "More Like This" they suggested a book by Jesse Watters! No, I am pretty sure they are *not* alike beyond superficially political.

The raw emotion in this video is amazing in that it makes you pause and think about this moment in time we are in. I haven't seen anything like this, at least not from mainstream media before.

For all the complaints I see Congressional Democrats post about how President Trump is violating the law, the Constitution, and being generally corrupt, why did only 79 of them vote for articles of impeachment? What more evidence of lawlessness do you need to see before you act?

One of the things I want to do is read the books published by members of the current Congress. I am going across the entire ideological spectrum from Sen. Sanders to Sen. Paul. To start with I am reading the biography of perhaps the most polarizing Congresswoman of all, Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Just finished reading "Flyboys" by James Bradley. It's mostly about US Navy and Army Air Force pilots and aircrew in the Pacific during WWII, focusing a lot on a few men shot down over Chichi Iwo and their fates. The book covers the history of United States-Japanese relations. Very interesting.

I'm calling it a night at 2 AM. Hearing the same stats and talking points from both sides over and over again is exhausting. I know how it will end, too. Giving the Dems an "A for effort" will be meaningless if millions really will lose health care and food assistance because of the budget.

I'm watching the House Budget vote tonight. "Dillatory" ah, a throwback to my college days and fraternity chapter meetings.

Got a letter today from my insurance company. It advised, as per the FDA, to dispose of unused opioid drugs, including Fentanyl, by flushing them down the toilet!

The Left needs to reclaim the word "Patriot." I am sick of it being a social media code word for "member of the GOP/Trump/Musk Cult." The Left loves America more than the Right imho.

I am currently reading "Democracy in America" by Alexis de Tocqueville. This book, which was written by a Frenchman studying the government of the United States in the early 1800s, has been on my "To Read" list for a while.
