50+ members of WEA Olympic gathered in Port Orchard to call for revenue not cuts in our state budget. Teachers & school support staff know the impact cuts to public services have on children and families. We need a budget that prioritizes essential services by making billionaires pay what they owe.

Our kids deserve better. School districts should not have to borrow money to support students' futures. Our state needs to fully fund the teaching and supports that students need to thrive. We can do it... if billionaires pay what they owe.

ESPs from the WEA Chinook council met last night with Rep. Beth Doglio and Rep. McEntire to relate our working conditions and experiences before the 2026 legislative session. We talked wages, student behavioral challenges, and raising new revenue.

Legislative session is more than two months away and already lawmakers are saying no to our communities' needs. It's time to stop letting billionaires get away with not paying what they owe and to start meeting students' and families' needs.
