open carrying already paints a target on your back especially in the middle of a riot, you shouldn't expect everyone to remain chill and rational at all times. Rittenhouse was foolish to even be there in the first place and it was not his right to go protect property or whatever the excuse was

my view is that legally it was probably self defense but morally Kyle is an idiot and Destiny should stop defending this dumbass so hard especially now after we know he's a grifter who cozies up to right wing cunts

you weren't there, you don't understand the context of the moment by moment actions that happened on that night leading up to the self defense, we just have the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, I know for a fact anyone in a high tension situation like that would be weirded out by a kid brandishing an AR

Maybe not but it's not impossible for some people to get spooked if someone with a rifle feels threatening or suspicious enough, doesn't really matter if it's the done thing to open carry during a riot. My point is you can understand why it happened and why Rittenhouse was wrong to be there

you're completely ignoring the context of why they were trying to disarm him, "attempted murder" is just the closest legal definition for what the Rittenhouse defense team used to acquit him
