Supporting and empowering survivors of sexual violence.

"We Are the Evidence: A Handbook for Finding Your Way After Sexual Assault" is out now!

Find us on Instagram @WeAreTheEvidence.
Trauma, sexual violence, and abuse are public health issues. Research continues to highlight the lasting effects of trauma across a person’s life. This is why funding cuts to critical support programs are so concerning—survivors deserve access to care, resources, and community.

Survivors aren't only working on healing, we are also rebuilding. Be sure to be kind to yourself and take time to purposefully rest in a way that is restorative to you.

The Trump administration is scrubbing the CDC’s website of documents on reproductive rights issues, sexual health, intimate partner violence, and more.

I'm trying to save them.

You can find the deleted docs at CDCGuidelines.com - I'll be adding more over the weekend.

Society can be quick to tell survivors to forgive, heal, and move on from their trauma but slow to offer the tools and support they need to actually heal.

"It’s easy to offer help once and then not offer it again. But when you’re in that dark spot of healing trauma, it can be hard to navigate what to do next — it can be hard to say yes when someone offers help the first time — so keep offering."

Questions to ask before sharing: 1) Who’s my audience? 2) What’s my goal? 3) Does posting this align w/ my goals? 4) Who’d be most neg. impacted if I shared? 5) To what extent has the media already been publicly shared? 6) What’re other potential ways to communicate this information to reduce harm?
