That is more rainfall today alone than I had in the month of March (13.3mm) or April (8.4mm)🌧️

My May & Spring Rainfall Stats:

May:
After 34 days with no rainfall (up to May 24th) May ended with 20.1mm (49.1%)

Spring:
March: 13.3mm (41.6%)
April: 8.4mm (19.8%)
May: 20.1mm (49.1%)

Spring overall:
This spring I recorded 41.8mm which is just 36.2% of the average ☔️

Latest data from Yorkshire water:

Reservoir levels now 63%📉

Reservoir stocks are at their lowest on record for this time of year!

At the current rate reservoir levels will drop bellow DCL in July meaning water restrictions put in place. Unless we see continued unsettled weather to prevent this☔️

Reservoir levels in Yorkshire are now at 76.4%📉

This is the lowest reservoir levels in Yorkshire have been in April since 1996!!

Outlook remains very much the same right through till next weekend☀️☀️

In fact winds look to be lighter next week so feeling warmer too with temps high teens into low 20’s ☀️🌡️

A change to something a little more unsettled currently the thinking from around 13th/14th but a long way off and uncertain

The latest ECM, ARPEGE & AROME 12z runs show 140mph gusts just off the west coast of Ireland 🔴⚠️💨

This is one of the strongest storms to impact the UK for some time!💨

The whole of Ireland & Northern Ireland as well as parts of SW/Central Scotland are covered by red wind warnings🔴⚠️

The hurricane hunters will be flying into storm Éowyn to collect data

The latest GFS 12z takes the strongest of the winds straight through parts of Ireland, Northern Ireland into Scotland & far N England on Friday⚠️💨

As mentioned previously the exact track is yet to be determined but there is a high likelihood of impactful weather & is worth keeping a close eye on!👀💨
