A bit of a surprise for the highest wind gusts measured during this storm system as it was the Twin Ports that saw gusts over 60 mph. That include the Blatnik Bridge at 69 mph, Duluth International Airport at 67 mph, Hermantown at 64 mph, and Sky Harbor Airport at 62 mph. Other highest wind gusts included 58 mph at the Bay of Grand Marais, and 53 mph at Range Regional Airport. As forecasted, the snowfall totals were highest along the North Shore and the highest elevations in the Arrowhead and Twin Ports regions. That includes 34 inches in Hovland, Minnesota, 24.5-inches in Lutsen, Minnesota, 20-inches in Little Marais, Minnesota, 18-inches in the Two Harbors area, 15.6-inches in the Grand Marais area, 13-inches in Finland, Minnesota, and 12.6-inches in Esko, Minnesota. These totals may increase as more snow is in the forecast through Wednesday night and Thursday. The rest of the Arrowhead, Twin Ports, Iron Range, and Bayfield Peninsula regions saw snowfall totals in the 7 to 12 inch range from this storm system. That includes 11-inches in Brimson, Minnesota, 10-inches in Washburn, Wisconsin, 9.2-inches in Chisholm, Minnesota, 8.5-inches in Cornucopia, Wisconsin, 8-inches in the Duluth area, and 7.4-inches in Keewatin, Minnesota.
