I mean I *had* it working yesterday, but then of course I had to ✨ *tinker* ✨

If this was all gonna be anchored to a tabletop I would consider it.

And the more I diss with it the more tempting it gets.

But it’s a holiday display on the living room floor

Also these #6 turnouts are driving me nuts because aside from the curve issue I mentioned above I’m having a pain of a time trying to get the correct length straight track in here.
November 30, 2025 at 11:56 PM
Haha yeah.

Somewhat related, I have no idea how Bachmann thinks the 3/4” straight filler is supposed to work here
November 30, 2025 at 11:55 PM
Atlas could at least make that argument, or for someone to custom cut a 24” section, I guess.

But Bachmann EZ Track?!?!

(Bonus points: we could just cast Tulsi as Isard and put her somewhere she can’t do any more international harm)

I was gonna post a “how DARE you madam, I shall not stand for Ackbar erasure!” bit but yeah valid point, that would have been cool if they featured him in a series like that.

(What I wouldn’t give for an X-Wing Series adaptation…)

Ellie. Are you calling Admiral Ackbar a minor character.
November 30, 2025 at 11:19 PM
Geometry is “fun.”
November 30, 2025 at 11:04 PM
Gimme a 10-degree section of at least 22” radius, if not 26 or 28 or broader.

Or better yet gimme a 9-degree section, the turnout angle maths to 9.5 anyway, and it’s a half section of the 28” radius anyway

I still have a yard to build, and possibly some spurs.
November 30, 2025 at 8:55 PM
Yes.
November 30, 2025 at 8:54 PM
This is essentially what happened.

And what happens almost every time I go to set something up.
November 30, 2025 at 8:53 PM
Yesssss do eeeet!!! And post pictures!
November 30, 2025 at 4:53 AM
I have my model of Pere Marquette 1225 out and on the track already, that was, of course, the first thing I ran after a test train
November 30, 2025 at 4:53 AM
I did move the track out after testing, and before trying to run the full length Walthers passenger cars.
November 30, 2025 at 4:52 AM
Oooo that’s another good one!
November 30, 2025 at 4:50 AM
I still have to finish building out the yard, too. :)

Fortunately Cindy did not kill me when she got home.

…though that might have been because her parents were here and she didn’t want any witnesses.
November 30, 2025 at 3:27 AM
Oh I did.

And my mother in law encouraged me to bring it to the whole living room while Cindy was at work
