If we look of ownership from corporations that notoriously act anti-journalism and hedge funds, they, to me, show validity that the destruction was purposeful.

Lawyers became the publisher who were never committed to the value of journalism like previous publishers.

Guy folks were pitching valid ideas — I was in the room when it happened — while ad folks, lord, acted like they were self sabotaging.

If I look at back over my career when the shifts began and since, maybe those incompetent leaders who refuse to acknowledge opportunities from the Internet, then mobile, then social… all were they to purposely fail.
