This will be such a godsend for families in Illinois. The less red tape, the better. Making multifamily homes legal again will not only help affordability, but it will boost our walkability and create more resilient, multigenerational communities. Bravo, Governor!

Not to mention HB 4279 which forces IDOT to plan for hourly rail service. My optimism is revived and I hope we can build on this momentum.

Thank you, Governor, for striving to remove the constraining zoning laws which have been pricing people out of home ownership and creating inefficient sprawl. Let’s bring back the four flats baby! 🫡
