I think the headlines are missing the point on Axel, I think there is a muscle injury (not too serious) and then the surgery on the thumb. Given he’s been playing with it, you’d hope the thumb surgery is optional (e.g. something you’d do if you’ve out for a week or two). Maybe I’m wrong tho
