Also, it’s not like you need right-wingers to have meaningful disagreements. There’s a huge amount of ideological diversity to the left of Chuck Schumer.

Imo the idea normal people have about “debate” is that it happens in a couple hours on tv or YouTube instead of in print over many pages and many months/years. The latter is where actual, substantive disagreement is hashed out, the former is just performative.
