His speech would have made a mob boss get up and whisper into his ear to tone it down a bit. It would be funny if it wasn't destroying society. Doesn't this kind of thing eat at you at the end of the day?

I mean it would help if your leaders would stop sucking him off and calling him daddy.

Mafia goon: Nice house you got here...it'd be a shame if something happened to it

Media outlets: Mafia goon rules out use of force. Expresses regret at the mere thought of it

Yeah just like a mob boss rules out breaking your kneecaps. Are you high or dumb?

Anymore I just assume the incompetence is a feature and not a bug

That's not what's happening with Grok/xAI right now. No one jailbroke anything to make it generate CSAM and revenge porn. It's a feature. It's more like if your car's infotainment system started going "10 points if you hit that cat" and people start hitting cats to see how many points they get.

That's why you're getting the pushback here. The whole grok debacle isn't because people are using the bot improperly. It's being used as designed and the owner doesn't really care because he's getting paid.

You're right I'm not a lawyer, but I don't think "you should be held responsible for the harm your product creates" especially around LLMs is a real controversial stance. You can't compare it to selling cans of spray paint.

I think we view the issue completely differently. xAI/Elon Musk has very intentionally and publicly stated that Grok is tuned to be like this. This isn't an isolated incident where one user got grok to make CSAM or undress a politician. It's been going on for days and theres 1000s of posts.

I’m not seeing a normative argument in this. If I accept your assertion that LLMs can inherently be induced to break the law and injure real human beings, and this can never be fixed, then why is it bad to for the cost of offering an LLM to the public to be very high?

If what I posted hurt you that badly go for it.

I'm sorry but you have your head way up your ass on this. It's reasonable to demand the people creating these products to put guardrails in place against malicious use. This isn't a speech issue, its a product safety issue.
January 5, 2026 at 6:15 PM
Damn I wasn't aware we granted LLMs citizenship and rights.
