Rift Wizard is a wonderful turn-based game with some interesting strategy to it. I disliked the sequel because it was a bit more mindless, but perhaps it's what you're looking for.

I've haven't had a modern trick taker really grab me, but I grew up playing classic 52-card deck games like spades, euchre, bridge, etc, so I love the mechanism and all that it brings with it.

What would be the best of the best as far as trick takers in your eyes?

My most recent go to quick meal is ground lamb (Groc Out has it pretty cheap), sauteed with some onion and a ton of spices, then throw in some couscous and chicken broth, it cooks up very fast. Finish with feta and parsley. The bottom crisps up nice, it cooks in less than 20 min.

CRISPR? For all the hype around tech, there isn't much. Some medicine, some improvements in existing tech. Solar panels have improved.

A lot of Korean cuisine is fairly allergen-minimal. Definitely look into Maangchi as a website/youtube resource, Korean cuisine has a lot of side dishes that work well without much allergen risk at the very least.
