🧶 crafting balances work, and work pays for my expensive yarn habit
On gifted socks, not these ones

I have also added a gusset on the side to accommodate bunions

Yes. Absolutely!

Same. My big toe is significantly longer than the others so unless I fit the socks to them they wear out really quickly

Oh and I read a suggestion to first use a sticky lint roller, it lifts the fuzzies up so that they’re caught faster

I really like using a Lilly brush, but it only really works on wool

Use a crochet hook to hook them up and tack the top stitch in place with a bit of spare yarn. It will be a bit fiddly but well worth the effort for an obviously well loved jumper.

Yay, another knitter. Every row helps with muscle memory and you’ll be whizzing along before you know it.

Have you tried putting a white cloth on your knee? The contrast helps, and good lighting does too

Where are you located? That would help narrow the search to locally available sources

A few years ago I made a Dr Who themed shawl for a friend’s sweepstake for charity. Am very happy with how it turned out.

For the “stars”:
1-2, In green knit one row, purl one row.
3 With white *slip 1 with yarn in back, knit 1* repeat
4 with white *slip 1 with yarn in front, knit 1* repeat

I would agree that the white stripes are added later as the yarn passes through the middle of the stitches

After the first few rows this becomes nice and repetitive, but with enough interest to keep me engaged. I’m on my 2nd blanket and love it www.purlsoho.com/create/2015/...

A clear and relevant response, very much what I was thinking while watching the video myself. Thank you. However, I was rather distracted by that gorgeous hat! What’s the pattern?

It should then change to “just kidding, there’s no such thing, transaction approved”

“I have a notion I need more of these?” No idea 🤣 my sister bought me a wee tin with the words “random crap” on the lid. Obviously it’s a notions tin now

Raglan never fits me right and I did some short row shaping to fit my chest better… I first heard about it in a tutorial on this thing called knitty… 😃 the extra wide green stripe is surprisingly not noticeable when wearing it ravel.me/weezaz/sz
