The Melbourne Fringe Festival is running a free event available online on Monday evening about access for all to the arts, and it sounds like it's going to be an absolute cracker, with lots of stuff for us to absorb in NZ too www.melbournefringe.com.au/whats-on/eve...
Why are we so shit at access in Australia and what are we going to do about it?

We also want to make it as easy as possible for anyone to create an event for the festival. That's why we've put together a guide on creating your own events, and also why we're running an online Q&A session on 14 October, to answer any questions you might have.
Not sure what you want to create? Our community has a lot of ideas (over the image of a group of kinitters at Wellington Museum) And you can always reach out to us for help (over the image of a stall at Out in the City) Join our online information session on 14 October for more (over a plate of rainbow cupcakes)

We're really excited to open up Expressions of Interest for events to be part of the 2026 Wellington Pride Festival programme!

If you're a seasoned producer, you might be already good to go with lots of plans already and we can't wait to see them!

Our last fundraising film for the year (probably?) is happening next Friday 10 October. We've got classic comedy with The Birdcage (1996). Hosted by drag legend Ellie Kat, old school gay camp needs a deserving location, so where better than Scotty & Mal's?

We saw you from across the bar, really like your vibe and were wondering - how do you feel about unicorns?

Oh, bring on the dancing horses?

Consider them brought, with this fabulous new addition to our Pride merch by Brea Marsh!

We're looking for more committee members with certain strengths but if you're reluctant to commit long term, maybe you could work your magic briefly?

Slide into our DMs or email [email protected] and let's talk! Full disclosure: all roles are volunteer so you'd be paid in aroha not putea!

We want to put on the best Pride yet to celebrate our 40th anniversary next year, and to do that, we need to be better resourced. Committee turnover, illness and a court case have left us stretched a little thin - maybe your skills are what we're looking for?
WPF is looking for new committee members or temporary project coordinators with experience in:

running events
grant applications
fundraising

We are also looking to add more Takatāpui and MVPFAFF+ representation.

Bluesky is probably very sensibly not the place that relies on video, but here, have a very high quality promo made expertly for tiktok anyway, and come see The Hunger on Sunday! www.trybooking.com/nz/events/la...

There’s no way the WPF committee'd be able to create 70+ events we’ve had at past festivals by ourselves. Maybe you’re thinking about an event you’d like to see at WPF 2026? But you don't know how to start?

We've put together a beginner's guide to events! www.wellingtonpridefestival.com/how-to
Create your own Pride events in five easy-is steps

1. Come up with a great idea
2. Choose a venue and a time
3. Tell people about the event
4. Sell tickets - or is it free?
5. Run the event on the day
