IMHO the reason cycle lanes and cyclists are receiving negative attention and blame is because they are visible. We can’t see the workforce was slashed. We only see the impact of those cuts in struggling businesses. If you remove 10% or more of a populations paychecks it WILL cause problems.

Move to anywhere outside the US and it’s still correct

Given what the current Wellington Council inherited I think they are doing an admirable job. Granted, I hope my rates don’t rise as significantly as they have recently but the years of ignoring basic infrastructure came due.

My partner and I have subscribed to the NYT crossword puzzle for as long as they have had a digital version. Can I please keep it? Will Shortz is back and still awesome!
