Farm kid myself. Grew up scared of “colored folks”. But once I left all white rural America I learned it’s not the color of people that’s scary. Bad people can be all colors especially white. Surround yourself with good people and you soon realize color and sexual orientation is irrelevant.

Many times in the last couple years I’ve resorted to looking up why flags are half mast on the gov website because it’s not clear why, reading the “News” now days. I’ve often wondered if we were close to just leaving them down full time. Sounds like we are closer than I realized.
