Business participation in the U.N. climate summit in Brazil later this year is vital. It is not a gesture or virtue signalling. At these annual climate summits companies bring direct knowledge of how policies translate into clean energy investment, infrastructure and operations. Their presence can raise ambition, anchor commitments in practical delivery and help align public goals with private sector capabilities.
