It has been another busy week! Here are some of the things I did - you can read more in depth about the work I've been doing recently in my latest newsletter: wendychamberlain.scot/so/3bPiHwQ76...

Below are the opening times over the festive period for local organisations across North East Fife offering help with the cost of living - including foodbanks, community hubs, libraries, and support phonelines.

Great meeting with @suttontrust.bsky.social yesterday and hearing about their work with the University of St Andrews to break down barriers to opportunity.

Yesterday, I raised the urgent concerns I’m hearing from hospitality businesses in North East Fife. One local business expects costs to rise by £150,000 next year - they simply won’t survive without action. Our hospitality sector is in crisis, and the Government must listen.

Great to meet with the Scotch Whisky Association earlier this week to discuss the future of our vital Scotch whisky industry.
December 12, 2025 at 10:23 AM
Today I took part in a debate on St Andrews and Scottish Affairs where I highlighted serious concerns about the Scottish Government’s handling of the McCloud judgment and its impact on public sector workers.

You can watch my full speech, where I also celebrate St Andrews, here: buff.ly/zdRWPMT

Today I spoke in a debate marking St Andrew’s Day where I celebrated our town’s rich history, the fantastic community organisations and the vital role of the Links Trust. I also highlighted St Andrews’ celebrating 20 years as a Fairtrade town.

Great to meet with representatives from LUSH yesterday and discuss the importance of phasing out animal testing and how it can unlock growth for the wider UK economy.

Lovely to attend the Christmas concert at St John's Church in Cupar on Sunday. Wonderful performances by St Columba's Choir and La Vida 🎶🎄
December 11, 2025 at 12:57 PM
I raised my constituent’s deeply distressing visa case in Parliament today - an 89-year-old, disabled Ukrainian refugee left without support or compassion. I was glad to hear the Minister commit to helping, and I’ll keep pushing for a swift and fair resolution for her.
December 11, 2025 at 12:11 PM
For my Christmas card this year, I chose the theme of the United Nations Global Goals and challenged the brilliant Global Goals Team at Bell Baxter High School to design it 🎄🌍

Thank you to everyone who took part! ✨
December 10, 2025 at 3:19 PM
Yesterday, I raised the importance of access to cash and access to banking services which are vital for many people in North East Fife, yet are rapidly dwindling in numbers.

I was glad to attend the banking hub surgery today to further discuss this.

Great visiting Interiors at Forty Four in Cupar on Small Business Saturday last week - picked up one of their fab Christmas snowflakes! ❄️

Great attending The Listed Property Owners’ Club briefing event yesterday. There are over 500,000 listed buildings across the UK, including around 3219 listed buildings in North East Fife. I pledge to do all I can to support our local listed property owners.
December 4, 2025 at 3:16 PM
Today during a debate on acquired brain injuries, I highlighted the incredible work of Graham Geddes who founded the Headway North East Fife branch.

I have tabled an EDM celebrating his success - edm.parliament.uk/early-day-mo...

And you can find out more here: www.headway.org.uk/news-and-cam...

Leuchars Station urgently needs upgrading to make it step-free and accessible.

Today I raised the Access For All Scheme and asked for assurances that conversations about the Scheme and how it will be implemented in Scotland are taking place.
December 4, 2025 at 2:48 PM
I raised a case in Parliament where a constituent was stuck in ATAS visa delays - even after his father sadly passed away.

Despite ATAS being run by the FCDO, no one there seemed to know about ATAS, sending us in circles.

I’ve called for an urgent review so this doesn’t happen to others.
December 4, 2025 at 1:38 PM
I've been speaking to constituents over the last few weeks about their expectations for the Budget, when I spoke to them over the weekend, many were disappointed.

From the Family Farm Tax to EV taxes and LHA to Scotch whisky, the Gov have missed their opportunity to deliver real change and growth.
December 2, 2025 at 4:40 PM
It was lovely to support the fundraising event at Ceres Church yesterday, raising vital funds for the International Centre for Child Trauma Prevention and Recovery and their work supporting Palestinian children living with PTSD. Grateful to everyone who came together for such an important cause.
December 1, 2025 at 11:03 AM
Great to visit the Bowhouse East Neuk Knits weekend yesterday - always a fantastic celebration of local creativity 🧶✨

Brilliant to meet so many talented makers, including Di Gilpin, Sheila Greenwell, Newburgh Weavers and Balmerino Wool.

As we reach the end of November, here is a roundup of all the casework my team and I have done this month, as well as some of the topics mentioned to us most by constituents.

Happy St Andrew’s Day! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

A day to celebrate Scotland’s history, culture, and communities - and everyone who makes North East Fife such a special place to live and work.

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Great to join Cupar Tesco’s Winter Food Collection and support the brilliant work of Trussell Trust and FareShare.

The volunteers, community groups and food banks involved make such a difference to people facing hardship each winter.
November 28, 2025 at 2:37 PM
Great to stop by Innocent's grassy van and discuss the issue of fruit and veg deserts, particularly the challenges faced in North East Fife. I look forward to meeting again to further discuss supporting access and policies to support better outcomes.
