Yes we did. Hello!!! 👋 What a lovely surprise.

Yeah. What I'm saying is, many other countries had stronger ideals. The US didn't stop those things and also went on to have an incredibly harmful foreign policy. I agree that you can draw a line to MAGA. But America's position wasn't shared by all.

You're right, and this is a really important point.

Still, I think many of the ideals behind, eg, the creation of the UN were valid and worth upholding. But many of those were international rather than US-based.

That’s a guy I would *not* necessarily defend, pardon me. Responsible for many harms. But still nothing compared to what came after.

I mean, that’s not quite how I’d describe it - that’s a guy I would necessarily defend. But the postwar establishment of peace treaties and organizations like the UN in order to create a diversified global peace absolutely is.

I’m still nostalgic for the delightful burning smell of the clot matrix printers.

I’m descended from resistance leaders. My grandfather beheaded the Japanese leader where he was. I’m not a pacifist. But we’re not post-democracy right now, and the idea of a People’s Army in the United States is insane.

Let me lay it on the line …

I grew up in Europe (I’m a European / US citizen) and felt so much safer living there every day. I would be delighted if they took away all the guns. It - like real public transit, universal healthcare, and strong education - would make this country so much better. Weapons are weak paranoia.

No, I think it’s more authoritarian and fascist, and people with guns from militias etc are on their side. And even then, Hampton was brutally assassinated.

Two people who are absolutely operating within today’s context

No, I’m talking about ICE, the police, and every post-WWII American war.

I think it's too early to say *which* open social protocols, but I do believe they have the potential to be a big part of the answer here.

Thank you for making this - I found a bunch of people I absolutely should have been following and wasn’t. Exactly the people I want in my feed.
