Pretty sure V/H/S/Halloween wins as the grossest of the franchise. One gruesome, twisted, wickedly entertaining segment after another (except for one that just plain disturbed me more than anything I’ve seen lately).

All in all a nasty treat and great way to kick off the season

A Halloween-themed pizza dubbed the “Mar-ghoul-Rita” and horror movies, a perfect October Friday night

(It’s not burnt, that’s just black tomato sauce. And it was supposed to have cheese ghosts on it 😭)

Despite some pacing issues and an exposition-heavy script, Steven Kostanski’s Deathstalker reboot is a practical fx driven riot. Loads of jaw-dropping monsters, gore, and goofy Saturday morning cartoon humor.

My review at @dreadcentral.bsky.social out of Beyond Fest:
'Deathstalker' Review: A Blood-Soaked Adventure Driven by Glorious Practical Effects [Beyond Fest 2025]
Loaded with gore, monsters & mayhem, director Steven Kostanski's 'Deathstalker' reboot delivers the old-school sword & sorcery film you crave

Thinking again about how much I love John Carpenter's CHRISTINE, an easy top 3 entry in his filmography. What a weirdly prescient and insightful film about homosociality, masculinity, and the paradoxical violent power and extreme fragility of the self.
