I feel I am betraying myself that I am even making these arguments because it feels like some may think I am trying to defend the regime. I am not. I do not like or want them around. But due process exists for a reason, and the USA cannot keep meddling like this.

I don't disagree. But ask yourself this: where does it end? If anybody can just say "I think X is a WMD and this country I happen to have interest in has X, we should take their leader and take power"-

If that doesn't get you thinking then ask yourself this: what precedent does this set internationally? As I see it, a head of state can seemingly now manufacture consent for and make flimsy justification after black bagging another head of state if the former decides they're a "bad guy."

The blockade was bad enough. But dropping bombs and missiles and alleging they were strategic (what the FUCK is strategically being bombed 1km from my grandmother's, I ask you? The grocery store? The mall? Someone's house?) and bragging about it is worse.

You should all be questioning the fact that this operation, as the strikes in Nigeria, were done without Congressional approval. You should be outraged that a sitting president is able to order this and that so many under him obeyed without question.

You should all be shocked and disgusted that your president is willing to funnel billions of tax dollars into this illegal operation, willing to keep funneling your tax money to "run" Venezuela indefinitely but not invest in your healthcare or social services.

This is very blatantly about the oil reserves. This is about nothing else than the oil reserves and making money off of them to line the pockets of the ultra rich executives and oil barons. This is not about helping my people, nor about enriching us with money as stated in his address.

I know I said before that I don't want to post my unfiltered political opinions on here because this format is not conducive to a proper conversation and the character limit makes it so we cannot understand or express ourselves perfectly. But I think I might make this an exception.

I am still trying to process the immense amount of words that came out of that man's mouth during his address earlier today. Most of it was garbled nonsense but what came through clearly has such frightening and far reaching implications.
